The in-line cuff is a way of securing a column but doesn’t start from the bight of the rope. It is also known commonly as a hojo cuff even though it is not used in hojojutsu. This is a good way of doing a double column tie when the two columns can’t be right next to each other like when a person’s wrists won’t touch together behind their back.
